Grilled Breakfast rolls

I just got a new oven and so I planned on grilling something today. Breakfast is the heaviest meal in the day for me. Its the only time where I eat ingredients like cheese, chicken, eggs, etc. So, I tired making this breakfast roll out of bread today. When I used to go to my Grandma's in summer vacations, she often used to roll up some cottage cheese in a rolled out slice of bread, pan fry it, give it to me and my cousins for snack time. Taking inspiration from there, I made my breakfast in a similar manner. As I told you that I learn through this entire process of blogging and experimenting with food, here is what i learnt today : I was eating out those olives in my garnish and realized if some chopped jalapenos or olives would go inside the filling it would taste reallllyy amazing or another idea is to make a dressing out of chopped olives, olive oil, lemon and mustard or mayo.  Henceforth, I am going to work on my Dressing and post it soon as I believe its going to turn ou...

Fusion Indian Pancake (Chilla)

INGREDIENTS: 1 cup Grated Cottage Cheese 5 tbsp Gram Flour 5 tbsp Semolina 1/2 cup Curd 1 cup chopped Tomatoes and Onions 1 egg 1 tsp Garlic Paste 1 tbsp Harissa Dressing 1 tsp Red Chilli Paste 3/4 tsp Baking Powder Red Chilli Powder Salt and Pepper Turmeric Milk to Thin the batter down METHOD: 1. Add all ingredients to a bowl and stir. 2. Add milk to thin down the batter.  3. Heat the pan and drizzle some oil. 4. Take a spoonful of batter, spread it in a circular motion and cook the pancake or chilla on both sides till brown. 5. Serve hot with ketchup and green chutney.

Lemon meringue tart

Well goodfood is one website which  I keep looking up for new and nice recipes. This time I was looking for something made with lemons. So I found this recipe of little lemon meringue pies which fascinated me due to the golden meringue peaks and the bright yellow lemon filling. I gathered all my ingredients , changed he proportions according to my availability of them and went on ahead baking it. They are refreshing and sweet with a lovely shortcrust pastry crust. A must try! Ingredients: 100 gms flour 100 gms butter A lightly whisked egg 30+112 + 50 gms sugar Zest of 3 lemons Juice of 2 lemons 4 whole eggs 2 eggs separated few drops of vanilla essence Method: 1. Make the shortcrust pastry by first making a sandy mixture with flour, 50 gms butter, 30gms sugar. Knead and get the dough together using half of the whisked egg.
